'Rest & Read with Ease' is a rejuvenating weekend retreat for women who
love books but rarely give themselves time to actually read them.
Set in a stunning beach house along the Cardiganshire coast,
this is your invitation to slow down, pick up that book you've been meaning
to read, and remember what it feels like to lose yourself in a story.
No schedules. No productivity pressure. No guilt.
Just you, your books, and the sound of the sea.
WHERE: Nestled in the picturesque bay of Tresaith, West Wales, our retreat takes place in a beautiful 7-bedroom beach house that stands proud with panoramic views of the ocean. This coastal abode offers the perfect setting to rest and read for the entire weekend. Key features: Breathtaking location... Almost all bedrooms boast sea views, immersing you in the coastal beauty. Natural environment... Close by a waterfall cascades onto the beach, adding to the serene atmosphere. Opportunities to explore... Stunning coastal walks lead to neighbouring villages, perfect for mindful strolls.
Spacious Communal Areas: A large kitchen-diner for feasting and engaging in meaningful conversation. A cosy lounge stretching the length of the house, featuring a log burner, bookshelves and ample comfortable seating for reading, writing or napping. Seven bedrooms, most with sea views. A shared bathroom on the first floor and a spacious shower room on the second floor. This delightful retreat provides the ideal environment to disconnect from digital distractions and reconnect with yourself through resting and reading. The combination of breathtaking scenery, comfortable living spaces and thoughtful amenities creates a perfect backdrop for our Rest & Read weekend retreat, allowing you to truly unwind and rejuvenate in a serene setting.

What to expect:
A weekend designed for book lovers!
This isn't a book club. It's not a reading challenge.
It's a sanctuary for women who've forgotten what it feels
like to read for pleasure without the world demanding their attention.
You'll arrive at a beautiful beach house with shelves lined with books, cosy reading nooks, and windows that frame the Welsh coastline. The weekend unfolds at your pace, no rigid schedules, no mandatory activities, just an invitation to rest deeply and read freely.
Your days will include:
Uninterrupted reading time.
Settle into your favourite spot with a book (or three)
and read for as long as you wish. No interruptions. No guilt.
Indulge in our 'go back to bed' policy.
No alarm clocks. Sleep as long as your body needs.
Wake naturally. Return to bed with a book if that's what calls to you.
(oh we'll also deliver your morning cuppa straight to your room)
Coastal walks.
Gentle walks along the Cardiganshire coast to clear your
head between chapters or process what you've read.
Nourishing meals.
Healthy, delicious food prepared with care.
Book discussions (optional).
Share what you're reading if you'd like, or keep it private.
There's no pressure to discuss or interact.
Journalling prompts.
For those who want to reflect on what they're reading
or process their thoughts on the page.
Cosy reading nooks.
Fire, blankets, soft lighting, hot drinks.
Everything designed for maximum reading comfort.
Time to simply be.
Rest. Daydream. Stare out at the sea.
Do absolutely nothing if that's what you need.
Sea swimming (optional).
For the brave, a dip in the sea to wake up your senses
before settling back in with your book.

'HOW THE WEEKEND WILL FLOW'
FRIDAY: Arrive from 4pm onwards for tea and cake.
Settle in, choose your reading spot, claim your favourite seat.
Welcome dinner at 7pm, then retreat by the fire, or take a book to bed.
The weekend begins.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY: No alarm clocks.
No fixed schedule. Just gentle invitations throughout each day.
Wake naturally and enjoy a slow breakfast
Read wherever calls to you (in bed, by the fire, window seat overlooking the sea)
Optional coastal walks
A delicious lunch together around the big kitchen table
Afternoon reading, journalling, or rest
Optional women's circle discussions
Dinner around 7:30pm
Evening reading by the fire
Your only job: rest and read as much or as little as you want.
MONDAY: A slow morning.
Finish your chapter. Start a new book.
Optional closing circle at 11am to share what the
weekend gave you (if you wish).
We say our farewells by 1pm, cherishing memories of three days well spent.
